Elberta Life Saving Station
The Elberta Life Saving Station at the Waterfront Park is available for weddings, private parties, and events that require indoor space and a beautiful, historic setting. From the large deck overlooking Betsie Bay you and your guests can watch the night sky calm the hectic day, then dance the night away. Check out the Lifesaving Station page for more information.
Festival Fields
From the first Elberta Solstice Festival to the latest Grow Benzie Bayou on the Bay, our historic Waterfront Park property has been the site of memorable mass-cultural events and fundraisers. Our landscaping and amenities continue to improve, providing a gorgeous panoramic backdrop for your celebration. The park can be rented for $300 per section per day or $900 per day for the whole park (excluding the Life Saving Station). Rentals of this vast public space are reserved for schools, nonprofits, and community organizations.
Amphitheater
Our Waterfront Park Bandshell (aka Amphitheater) can be rented for $200 per four hours or $300 per day. This venue is available during the week for concerts or a performance with hillside seating overlooking our beautiful park and Betsie Bay.
Waterfront Park Pavilion
If you’re looking for a place to hold a family reunion, birthday party, class reunion, or private party, our Waterfront Park Picnic Pavilion, which its huge central grill fire pit, electricity, and picnic tables, is only $200. The children’s playground adjacent to it is one-of-a-kind in the area. The playground is handicapped accessible and starts with a ramp that little tykes can hop right on. Nearby is a swing set that includes an ADA accessible swing.
Penfold Park Pavilion
For a little more privacy and permanent restroom facilities. Elberta’s Penfold (Farmers Market) Park is a great venue for a more intimate gathering, conveniently located on the Betsie Valley Trail at the junction of old M-168 and M-22. For $200, you get a spacious pavilion, picnic tables including handicap accessibility, two smaller grills, electrical outlets, and access to 2 excellent plumbed restrooms. Your guests can kayak down the Betsie River and put in at the small boat launch to get to your party.
Community Building
If you’d like to hold a birthday party, open house, meeting, or baby shower indoors, our Community Building on First Street has a capacity of 68 and costs $200. There is no kitchen; but the building does have tables, chairs, and places to plug in crock pots. This facility has a baseball diamond and ample parking as well as restrooms that can be entered from inside and out.
